Headed by its general manager Jesus Miguel V. Bunyi and backed by distinguished personalities in Los Baños. For its board of directors, Laguna Water District believes in sustainable development as organization and takes responsibility along with other concern institution and civil society to protect and conserve our water resource within the province of Laguna and the environment general. 

HISTORY

The Laguna Water District (LWD) covers Los Baños, Bay, Calauan and area of Victoria, the four adjacent municipalities located along the southern coastline of Laguna de Bay, in the province of Laguna. Laguna water district formerly known as Los Baños Waterworks became operational during the 1920’s, it was recognized by the Sangguniang Bayan of Los Baños to function as an independent and separate office on January 10,1977 thus renaming Los Baños Waterworks as Los Baños Water District. Actual operation of Los baños Water District began on February 11,1977 after the annexation of the adjoining municipalities of Bay and Calauan, Laguna. Los Baños Water District was renamed as Laguna Water District or LWD as we know it now.

At present LWD has a total of 19 personnel in its main office at Brgy. Maahas, Los Baños, Laguna. It delivers potable water to the municipalities of Los Baños, Bay, Calauan, Victoria and Nagcarlan and maintains 17 water sources which supplies almost 44,690 house holds as of December 2022.
